The luxury goods conglomerate LVMH hosted its fifth annual Watch Week event in Miami from January 28th to February 1st, unveiling a dazzling array of new timepieces from its prestigious Swiss watch maisons.

TAG Heuer Leads the Charge

The LVMH-owned TAG Heuer led the charge, debuting several new models under its prestigious Carrera lineage, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The highlights included:

  • Carrera Chronograph Glassbox: An innovative chronograph equipped with a sapphire crystal caseback, putting the El Primero-based Calibre Heuer 02 automatic movement on full display. Available with blue, black, and green dials.
  • Carrera Dato: A revival of an iconic 1980s model with an eye-catching teal dial and an integrated calendar, powered by the Calibre Heuer 02.
  • Carrera Tourbillon: TAG Heuer’s first-ever tourbillon watch, featuring a flying tourbillon and an avant-garde titanium case.

According to CEO Frédéric Arnault, the Glassbox and Dato models represent TAG Heuer’s blend of “digital heart, mechanical soul” by fusing modern innovation with classical styling.

Bulgari Channels Retro Glamour

Fellow LVMH brand Bulgari also mined its archives in Miami, reissuing an iconic 1980s gold timepiece. The new 39mm Bvlgari Bvlgari oozes retro appeal in 18k yellow gold case paired with a gold dial and matching gold bracelet. Enthusiasts have eagerly awaited Bulgari releasing another yellow gold model in its fan-favorite ultra-thin Octo Finissimo range, and the Italian jewelry giant delivered with the introduction of the sandblasted Octo Finissimo Yellow Gold.

Bulgari also debuted the warm 35mm Octo Finissimo Tuscan Copper, which replaces stainless steel with a copper-gold alloy that will develop a unique patina over time. On the jewelry watch front, the new Bulgari Lucea infuses diamonds and brightly colored lacquer into an undulating serpentine case.

“With this year’s novelties we continue our daring exploration of groundbreaking new territories in contemporary watchmaking,” said CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.

Hublot and Zenith Showcase Innovations

The LVMH event also spotlighted releases from Hublot and Zenith, both pushing the envelope when it comes to materials and mechanics.

Hublot introduced colorful new models of its Big Bang Integral timepiece, which features a case, bezel, and bracelet all cut from a single block of ceramic or gold. Zenith brought silicon to the fore with the sporty new Defy Skyline, which utilizes a lightweight silicon carbon composite case and a high-tech silicon escapement and balance spring.

Daniel Roth Resurrected

In a surprise announcement sure to captivate collectors, LVMH also confirmed the revival of storied movement specialist Daniel Roth, 54 years after its initial founding. The maison will pick up where it left off by producing classically-styled timepieces with meticulously hand-finished in-house movements.

“Daniel Roth’s peerless expertise in traditional watch complications will open up great new horizons for LVMH in fine watchmaking,” said Stéphane Bianchi, CEO of LVMH’s watchmaking division.

Outlook: Innovation in a Changing Market

With smartwatches continuing to gain ground on the Swiss, LVMH is betting on innovation and heritage in equal measure to appeal to next-gen luxury buyers.

“Our role is to nurture creativity and continuity,” Bianchi told reporters in Miami. “It’s a difficult balance, but events like Watch Week demonstrate that LVMH embraces both the future and the past.”

While 2024 may present economic challenges, LVMH reported its strongest year ever in 2023, posting €79 billion in total revenue. Analysts predict steady growth ahead, buoyed by American consumers’ seemingly unquenchable thirst for high-end European watches.

“The U.S. now accounts for 25% of Swiss watch exports, and shows no signs of slowing down,” said Paul Timmins of(- Teresa Daryani(23 GH cy

Teresa Daryani and Rakesh Vidyathi seem to be the best match based on tenure and cycle time. Rakesh has been working for 52 months (over 4 years) and has a cycle time of 26 calls per day, compared to Teresa’s 23 months (just under 2 years) and 23 calls per day. The longer tenure and higher daily call volume make Rakesh the better choice.
